Privacy Policy

SA Municipal Intelligence, operated by Keith Codex.

Last updated: 21 August 2026.

1. Who is responsible for your information

The responsible party under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA):

2. What we collect

The vend calculator does not require you to enter or submit any personal information. The values you type in the form (purchase amount, arrears, kWh) are processed in your browser and are not sent to any server we control.

We use Plausible Analytics to count anonymous page views. Plausible does not use cookies and does not track individuals across sites. It records the page URL, the referring URL, the country, the device type, and the browser type. None of these identify you personally.

If we later add features that collect personal information (for example, a form to request a solar quote), we will update this policy and ask for your explicit consent at the point of collection.

3. Cookies and advertising

The calculator does not set any cookies of its own. If we introduce advertising (for example, Google AdSense) in future, those providers may set cookies for personalised advertising, and we will present a consent notice before any such cookie is set.

4. Your rights under POPIA

You have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we hold about you (currently: none).
  • Ask us to correct any information we hold.
  • Ask us to delete information we hold.
  • Object to processing of your personal information.
  • Complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.

To exercise any of these rights, email Keithcodex@gmail.com.

5. Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share personal information with third parties. If we introduce third-party features in future (for example, a solar quote form), we will name the third party and describe the data being shared at the point of collection.

6. Changes to this policy

We will post changes to this policy on this page with a new "last updated" date. Material changes will be flagged on the home page.

7. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please email us first at Keithcodex@gmail.com. If we cannot resolve the issue, you can lodge a formal complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
